The CONTACT hotline provides free, anonymous, confidential 24-hour telephone counseling, crisis intervention, and information and referral to persons in distress or crisis. Certified volunteers assist callers with a wide range of problems and issues

St Joseph’s Hospital - CPEP (Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program)

Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to anyone with a psychiatric emergency or emotional crisis, the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program is composed of four components: crisis outreach, psychiatric emergency service, extended observation unit, and emergency crisis beds. CPEP staff members assess, triage, and treat patients in crisis.

A state teaching hospital very close to campus, SUNY medical center provides a wide range of psychiatric services, including emergency assessment, hospitalization, and outpatient care.

The agency provides a 24-hour crisis, support, and information line, and emergency shelter to ensure that women and children are safe from violence. Actively engaged in domestic violence education and training in the community, Vera House offers counseling and advocacy services for victims of domestic violence and children who witness abuse.
