LIFELINE CRISIS CHAT - The goal of the Lifeline Crisis Chat service is to help you reduce stress and feel empowered to make healthy decisions. You will be asked questions regarding your safety, emotions and thoughts surrounding the situation, feelings of depression, your current social situation, and if you have any thoughts of suicide. If a chat specialist feels you are in danger they will speak with you about accessing emergency services, and/or additional contact information to ensure your safety. The chat specialist will work with you to create a safety plan if necessary. If the chat service is not open we encourage you to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1800.273.8255.

Trans Lifeline


Trans Lifeline is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the well being of transgender people. We run a hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people. Trans Lifeline volunteers are ready to respond to whatever support needs members of our community might have.

Trevor Lifeline


The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.

Tully Hill Chemical Dependency Treatment Center


Tully Hill successfully treats chemically dependent individuals and their families. Admissions inquiries can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

CPEP is a licensed Psychiatric Emergency room, serving individuals from Onondaga and Madison counties, and visitors in the Greater Syracuse area. CPEP is fully staffed 24 hours a day, seven days per week. CPEP provides evaluation and treatment for individuals of all ages who are suffering from an acute mental health crisis.

  • The Upstate Emergency Department is the only Level-One Trauma Center, University Hospital's Emergency Department is a fast-paced facility with state of the art technology in caring for the critically ill or injured.   • Pediatric Emergency Department at Upstate Medical University is a 12 bed emergency department with physicians specially trained in pediatric emergency medicine. We are the only dedicated pediatric emergency department and Level I Trauma Center in the region and, as such, specialize in the care of ill and injured children. 315.464.5613

  • Inpatient Adult Psychiatry (4B) admits both voluntary and involuntary patients eighteen years and older with a wide variety of psychiatric and substance abuse/dependence disorders. While such problems are the primary reason for admission, many patients have additional medical needs. 315.464.9096

  • Adult Psychiatry Clinic for those seeking treatment may be self-referred or be referred by their physicians or other social agencies. 315.464.3165
